Sarah says..
"That hairpiece is actually sort of an accident. I cut off all my hair and couldn't hold up everything I wanted to wear for those shots, so I ended up tying a bunch of random knots until it would stay on my head long enough for a photo shoot.

I am wearing a pair of loose falls in front in red base with neon violet and hot pink accents.

The back part is a pair falls that are about 1/3 dreads, 1/3 braids, 1/3 twists in red, burgundy, hot red, neon violet, purple, and I think there's some light purple and white in there somewhere as well.

I put my hair up in very high pigtails with the loose falls on first. I pulled chunks of the loose falls back and forth across the front of my head to cover up my natural brown hair. Most of the pinning at this stage was done with little snap clips (like the ones found here).

Then, I put on the dread/braid/twist falls over the same buns that the loose falls wear tied to. My hair was *very* short at the time and in super choppy layers, so my buns were almost non-existent. To keep the hair from falling right off my head, I started tying the two falls together in the middle. I flipped some of the loose hair in front up over the back and teased it a bit as well.

There are TONS of tiny jaw clips around the buns and in back to keep everything in place. They're pretty much hidden by all of the hair, though.

So basically, tie a bunch of stuff to your head and make a bunch of knots, and with enough practice you'll get lucky and something like that will come out ;P "
