Highlight Braid is a style of kanekalon jumbo braid where the individual strands of hair are multicolored. It's similar to our multicolored high heat kanekalon, but it seals much easier with boiling water or steam. Perfect for making dread extensions, box braids, and twists! Highlight Braid can sometimes bleed when used with leave-in oils, especially those containing tea tree or orange oil. If you normally use conditioning oil on your natural hair or scalp, stick with regular kk jumbo braid or high heat multicolored kanekalon instead -- or do a deep cleanse to remove any oil products from your natural hair prior to installing Highlight Braid.
Length: 24" folded, 48" unfolded (60 cm folded, 120 cm unfolded).
Weight: 2.0 ounces (56 g).
Texture: Kinky jumbo braid texture, similar to RastAfri Classic Braid and kinkier than RastAfri Freed'm Silky Braid. This hair is softer than most other types of kk jumbo braid, but it's not as slippery as high heat kk.
Brand: RastAfri Highlight Braid.
Color: Latte. 1B Off Black at the top, fading down into a medium brown shade similar to 10 Medium Brown in the middle and a light, ashy blond at the tips (labeled as "3T1B/30/613" on the packaging, but the color in the middle is not as red/auburn as 30 Light Auburn and the color at the ends is a little more ashy than 613 Platinum Blond). This color is slightly different from the high heat kanekalon we carry that's also called Latte.
The ninth picture is a color comparison shot showing 30 Light Auburn on the left, Latte in the middle, and 12 Light Brown on the right.
In the tenth picture, the colors shown from left to right are 613 Platinum Blond, Latte, and 22 Ash Blond.
In the eleventh and final picture, Latte is on the right. On the left, from top to bottom, the colors shown are 1B Off Black, 12 Light Brown, 22 Ash Blond, and 613 Platinum Blond.
In the final picture, customer Alyssa has used Highlight Braid in Latte for a full head of box braids.
