By placing an order at I Kick Shins, you agree to all of the policies listed below. If you do not understand all or part of our policies, it is your responsibility to contact us prior to ordering for clarification. All of our policies are non-negotiable; we will NOT make exceptions to any of them for any reason.

Processing times
The processing time is the amount of time that passes from the day that you pay for your order until the day that we ship it. Processing times do not include the amount of time that your order spends in transit once it has been shipped.

Your order is subject the processing time posted on the front page of the website at the time of payment. If your order contains items with different processing times, then the longest time is the one that applies to it. If you pay via cash or money order, the processing time that is posted when we receive payment is what applies to your order; NOT the processing time that is posted when you place the order itself.

Rush processing is sometimes available on a case-by-case basis for 50% of the value of any custom items in the order, plus any extra charges for expedited shipping. Please check the processing times listed on the front page to see if rush processing is available; if it is and you are interested in rushing an order, please refer to our rush processing request form.

DO NOT PLACE A REGULAR ORDER THROUGH THE SHOPPING CART IF YOU WANT RUSH PROCESSING. FILL OUT THE FORM INSTEAD.

Returns
General: We do not accept returns or exchanges on Loose Falls, Silky Curls, Cyberlox Falls, Streaks/Fringes, Dreads, Braids, Twists, Cyberlox/Crin, Plastic & Foam, Hair Accessories, Purses, Bulk Hair, Premium Wefts, Jewelry, or Direct Sale items.

Apparel: We do accept returns on select* Apparel provided the garment is unworn with all tags and packaging intact. Returned Apparel orders are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Refunds for returned Apparel cover the cost of garment only; any other products in the order, shipping charges, insurance, and customs fees are non-refundable. We also accept exchanges if sizing is an issue. The customer is responsible for any shipping charges incurred when an exchange is made. In order to return or exchange a clothing item, you must notify us within 7 days of receipt of the item and the returned package must be postmarked within 14 days of receipt of the item.

In the event that a clothing item is returned to us late, damaged, worn, or without tags, we will not issue a refund and will return the item at the customer's expense.

*We do NOT accept returns on intimate apparel. An item is considered 'intimate apparel' if it includes any undergarments. For example, a bustier would not be considered intimate apparel, but a bustier that comes with a matching thong would be intimate apparel. If the ability to return an item is a concern for you, you can request that any matching undergarments be removed from your order prior to shipping.

Incorrect/Damaged Items: In cases of incorrect (for example, the wrong color or size) or damaged items, we offer the option of either a replacement or a partial refund as long as the item is clearly unused. We will cover the cost of return shipping. As with apparel returns, you must notify us within 7 days of receipt of the item and return it to us within 14 days of receipt of the item in order to receive a refund. We will NOT give refunds for items unless you return them.

Shipping
We ship once a week, usually on Mondays. All orders in the United States are shipped USPS Priority Mail or USPS First Class Mail with delivery confirmation. We ship international items via International First Class or International Priority Mail, depending on the size and weight of the package. We are not responsible for customs, VAT, or any other charges you may incur if you are an international customer. If a package is returned to us because of a refusal to pay import fees of any kind, the customer will receive a refund for the returned merchandise only; we will NOT refund shipping. If fees are a concern, it is the customer's responsibility to contact their country's customs office, postal service, and any other applicable agencies prior to ordering.

It is the customer's responsibility to provide us with a deliverable shipping address. If you do not provide us with your complete, correct shipping address and your package is consequently returned to us, you must pay shipping again before we will resend it. This rule also applies to unclaimed packages. If a package is at the post office, it is the customer's responsibility to pick it up before it is returned to sender. We will not cover the cost to reship packages that are unclaimed.

If the USPS makes a mistake and returns a package even though the address was correct, we will reship it at our expense one time. If it is returned to us again, the customer must pay for reshipments thereafter.

Additional shipping charges may apply to orders that weigh 4 pounds or more.

We ship all orders to the "Delivery Address" on the order form. If you do not include a "Delivery Address," we ship to the "Billing Address." If you include a different address in Paypal, Google Checkout, or written on a piece of paper with a cash or money order payment, we will not ship to that address.

Insurance
Insurance is optional but recommended. Cost begins at $1.65 and increases as the insured value increases; click here for pricing. If you choose not to purchase insurance, we are not responsible for your package once it is shipped. That means if the post office loses it, we are NOT obligated to replace it or offer a refund. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: if your package is delayed or missing, we cannot trace it if it is not insured. The USPS does not accept inquiries on uninsured packages.

Pricing
All prices are subject to change without notice. Prices are in United States Dollars (USD). Prices are non-negotiable.

Sales Tax
All orders delivered in the state of Arizona are subject to 8.05% sales tax.

Payment
We do not work on custom orders until we receive your payment. We accept payment via money order, concealed cash (at your own risk!), Google Checkout, and Paypal. We also accept credit/debit card payments through Paypal and Google Checkout. Sorry, no personal checks, no bank transfers, and no foreign currencies. Payment must be made in United States Dollars (USD). Cash and money orders are sent at your own risk; we are not responsible for them if they get lost in the mail. Please note that we only check the PO box once per week, usually on Friday afternoons, so your payment might be there waiting for a few days before we receive it and are able to update the status page indicating its safe arrival.

When sending payment via cash or money order, YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR ORDER NUMBER. If you do not provide your order number, we will return your payment.

We do NOT accept deposits and we do NOT offer installment plans. If you don't have the funds to pay for your whole order, you can always save up until you do.

We cancel unpaid orders at the beginning of the second month of nonpayment. For example, any orders placed in January would be cancelled at the beginning of March--regardless of whether they were placed January 1st or January 31st. If your order is cancelled due to nonpayment, you will need to place it again.

Backordered and Discontinued Items
If an item is unexpectedly backordered, the customer has the following options:
- delete the backordered item, receive a partial refund, and have the remainder of the order shipped.
- wait for the backorder.
- replace the backordered item with an in-stock item.
- cancel the entire order and receive a full refund.

If an item is discontinued, that means our suppliers no longer carry the item and we cannot restock it. Because there is no actual backorder in this situation, the customer has the following options:
- delete the discontinued item, receive a partial refund, and have the remainder of the order shipped.
- replace the discontinued item with an in-stock item.
- cancel the entire order and receive a full refund.

Order revisions
WE DO NOT ACCEPT ORDER REVISIONS. Please make sure to order carefully. Once you place your order, you cannot change it.

Allergy Warning!
I Kick Shins is a home-based business. One of the members of our household is a charming little orange cat named Captain. Captain knows better than to mess with your items, but since he is covered in fur, there's a chance that a stray hair of his might come into contact with your order. If you have severe pet allergies or have a problem with our cat for any other reason, please consider ordering from a seller who does not have pets.

Colors
Please note that colors vary from monitor to monitor; colors may be slightly lighter or darker than they appear, depending on your monitor's settings. The color swatches on the website are a guide only, and should not be taken literally. We do NOT offer refunds or returns if a color does not appear in person as it does on your monitor. If you are concerned about what a color looks like in person, it is your responsibility to order samples, e-mail us and ask for a better description, or take advantage of our color matching service.

Furthermore, the names of colors on our website do not necessarily match the names printed on the bags of hair that you will receive if ordering bulk hair. Because we carry multiple brands, we have many colors with the same names; for example, we have two colors labelled as "hot pink," but we list one of those shades as "neon magenta" because the two colors are completely different from each other.

This applies to cyberlox as well; we oftentimes do not use the manufacturer's names for colors, so the name on the color chart will not always match up to the name printed on the bag that you receive. If you need to know the exact brand name/color name as given by the manufacturer, it is your responsibility to contact us BEFORE ordering.

Discount Vouchers
If you have received discount vouchers from us (such as those awarded for customer gallery submissions and those that we post for sales), you may only use ONE voucher per order. We do not combine vouchers.

Terminology
We adhere to the following interpretations of terms for all custom braid, twist, and dread orders:
Accents - solid colored accents, i.e. a fall consisting of 30 black dreads and 10 red dreads would be considered to be black base with red accents.

Base - the predominant color of the fall, i.e. a fall consisting of 30 black dreads and 10 red dreads would be considered to be black base with red accents.

Streaks/Highlights - thin streaks of color added onto another. For example, a black dread with red streaks would be predominantly black with a small amount of red in it.

Swirls - two colors twisted together for a candy cane effect. There are equal amounts of each color in a swirl.

Blends - two or more colors are mixed together to create the illusion of a new color. For example, a blend of emerald green and navy blue will create a turquoise color.

Please make sure to use the proper terminology when placing a custom order to ensure that you get what you want; you will not be entitled to a refund if you are unclear about your color specifications.

Mailing List
We will not sell or give your e-mail address to any third parties. E-mail addresses submitted to the mailing list will receive notifications of website updates, new products, and sales related to I Kick Shins only and will receive no more than one message per week.
